Caterwaul all night long. Clumps of hair everywhere. Crave their treats constantly. Catnip makes them crazy. Cough up slimy fur balls. Constant purring machines. Control human masters.
Sleep eludes. Limbs ache, muscles cramp. Eyes wide, stare unseeing. Darkness smothers, every sound jarring. Thoughts whirl. Tossing and turning. Until sunrise.
Snowflakes descend in the deafening silence, wind carving shapes in the fluffy quilt. Tree limbs sway, dislodging powder, whirling like jewels in the night. Stars shine like pearls on black velvet, above shadows cast by the crescent moon. Sleigh bells ring -- or is it imagined? Magical world. Winter wonderland.
